Cryptid Queers is a neurodivergent organization run by disabled individuals. We are dedicated to making our accessible events as inclusive as possible with the resources we have available. Below, you can find information on disabled access for our flagship events at FORGE Warehouse, as well as details about our Camp Cryptid workshop and showcase at The Lughole.
Our flagship show Cryptid Queers and our upcoming festival take place at FORGE Warehouse, a venue committed to hosting accessible events. Below is accessibility information pertaining to FORGE Warehouse, ensuring it provides excellent disabled access for all attendees.
• FORGE Warehouse is a fully accessible venue with step-free access throughout.
• Accessible toilet available in the toilet block.
• Seating: This is a standing event, but benches are available at the front for disabled guests or those with health concerns. You can reserve a seat for free when purchasing your ticket.
• Wheelchair spaces are always available - no need to reserve in advance.
• A Welfare Area is located near the main entrance for anyone needing first aid or respite from sound levels.
• Quiet Spaces: While we don’t have a chill-out room, the courtyards offer some relief from sound levels, and the Welfare Area is also available for anyone needing a quiet space, accommodating our neurodivergent organization’s commitment to inclusivity.
• Captions: All acts will now feature captions displayed on stage.
• Lighting: We do not use strobe lighting at our events.
• No Talking Policy: To ensure an accessible and immersive experience, we have a strict no-talking rule during performances.
• Minimising Sound Bleed: Room Two will be closed during performances to prevent distracting noise.

Our Camp Cryptid workshops and the Camp Cryptid showcase are both held at The Lughole, a venue dedicated to hosting accessible events.
• The Lughole is a fully accessible venue with step-free access throughout, ensuring easy entry for everyone.

• Seating: While this is primarily a standing event, we provide benches and a number of high-backed chairs at the front for guests with disabilities or health concerns. You can reserve a seat for free when purchasing your ticket.

• Quiet Spaces: Although we don’t have a designated quiet area, the courtyard offers some relief from sound levels, catering to those who may benefit from a quieter environment.
